“Tom and Jerry, Johnny Bravo, Looney Tunes, Sylvester and Tweety etc” were our best childhood’s friends. The childhood days are very unforgettable as watching cartoons is the most important part of everyone’s childhood. We all had seen them but never thought that how they are prepared. That was none of our business at that time we just enjoyed them.

The world is growing and booming at a very fast speed. In the current scenario it is not only the Main stream or Parallel Cinema that entertains people. There are many 2D and 3D animated movies which are also very liked by the people and especially the kids and children. The most popular examples of these movies are Finding Nemo, Shrek, Monster Vs Alien, Hanuman, Ghatothkach, etc… Some of them are 2D and some are 3D movies.

These 2 and 3 dimensional movies are prepared by a special and different way as for the special audiences. In India it is mostly the 2D animation that is being worked upon. Movies like Hanuman, Ghatothkach, and Dashaavtra etc are 2D animated movies. This is a very emerging trend as many people are focusing towards this profession now days.

The 3D animated are of course high in quality form 2D animated movies. The Hollywood movies like Finding Nemo or Monster Vs Alien etc are 3D animation based. The difference is between the makings of the movie with a whole different procedure. But still India has a long way to go to achieve at the top of Animation and Graphics.

There are many institutes across the country which are offering many courses in the areas of Flash, Animation, Graphic designing etc… making professional for the industry. These institutions provide a hardcore practical knowledge and teaching lessons to their students as making them totally perfect for the media industry.

Now after the 2D and 3D animation, lets open our doors of industry to welcome 4 Dimensional Animation. It is also called as Cinema 4D or C4D. Cinema 4D or C4D is a commercial, cross-platform, high-end 3D computer graphics application, produced by MAXON Computer GmbH of Friedrichsdorf, Germany. Noted for its flexible interface and ease of use, it is capable of procedural and polygonal/subd modelling, animating, lighting, texturing and rendering.

This new phase of animation is the boon to the graphic and animation industry but we have to wait for some time to see these kinds of 4D animated movies in our country.
