This is a universal problem. The science has progressed a lot and we have sped up the things to an unimaginable extent in our life. Internet, Automobiles, Airplanes, Telecommunication, and Aeronautics have revolutionized the way we used to do things with much faster results than ever before. However, this problem remains intact as it was years ago. Time still falls short for us. We still do not find ourselves capable of handling our daily chores efficiently in a day’s work and often find us engaged with the things till late hours. Our professional life is taking a great toll on our personal life and things have gone quite unorganized.

Time management has emerged as a very promising field of training and almost all of business schools and personality grooming institutes are teaching this as an important skill to their students. Who does not want to be in full control of his life and manage it in an efficient manner? But could we? Nope! I know. Time management is really an important tool to get your life organized and achieve more in available time span. Those who have learnt it are practising it and availing great benefits. Those who do not are still wandering from pillars to post and ending up their life on things that are not really worth it.

Some simple observations that can change the way you look at your life can be explored by finding answers of some simple questions about our daily chores, like: how much of life is spent sleeping in bed? How much of it is spent in eating and drinking only? How big a part of this life you waste watching television and movies? You would also like to know what reading and deleting junk mails on daily basis cost you? The answers will really shake your schedule and you will feel forced to rearrange things and cut the time spent on unproductive affairs, thus make your life more productive.

Why calculate only time. The similar questions can be translated in terms of money as well. After all time is money. You would wonder to know that the person who eats one pizza a week would have spent as many as $12480 in 30 years of time. You can calculate the amount you would spend drinking beers, smoking cigarettes or just driving cars.

Do you believe that you would be spending next 10 years sleeping in next 30 years of your life? The observations achieved thus would convince you about the most serious requirement of your life, in a simple and comic way. For example, taking 8 hours sleep a day is equal to 3,650 days, 521.43 weeks, 120 months, and 10 years. What if you reduce it by one hour? A 7hours sleep a day would become 76650 hours in 30 years, which means 3194 days, 456 weeks, 105 months or approx 9 years. What are you doing about it?
