Sheryl Crow brings her instantly recognizable brand of singalong pop, country and rock to help unveil the new Fox Performing Arts Center in Riverside tonight and Saturday.
Crow''s many hits include 1994''s "All I Wanna Do," 1996''s "If It Makes You Happy," 1998''s "My Favorite Mistake," 2002''s "Soak Up the Sun" and 2003''s "The First Cut is the Deepest."
The Riverside Fox is a newly restored 1,600-seat venue that originally opened in 1929 as a vaudeville and cinema.
Crow, a multiple Grammy Award winner, last released the album "Detours" in 2008.
In an interview in February 2008, Crow talked about how her public battle with breast cancer affected her music.
"It''s probably always been my propensity to just stay busy, instead of getting bogged down with feelings," Crow said.
"I''ve always gone to my music for any kind of pain I ever felt. This was really an exercise in holding an emotion, and working through the pain ... I really, really met myself every morning at 7:30 on that radiation table."
Proceeds from Crow''s concerts in Riverside will partially benefit the American Cancer Society.
