If you think that scrapbooking is all about just purchasing papers from the My Minds Eye collection and randomly sticking the pictures onto the scrapbooking pages, you are in for some big news. Most seasoned scrapbooking aficionados know that there is more to scrapbooking than simply putting tape on the back part of the picture and then sticking it on an album. Fortunately, the effort involved in doing this does not have to be a long and arduous one.

When working with My Minds Eye scrapbooking pages, it is always nice to think about the titles and headers of each section that you finish. You do not just randomly stick the pictures onto the pages and let the viewer assume the theme. It is also important to be creative with the wording and try to steer clear of generic “Summer 2011” or something to that effect. Try to be creative, like “Fun in the Sun 2011” and if you are up to it, you can even add a kicker like “ the family spending long and lazy summer days in Grandma Minnie’s beautiful beach house in Redondo”.

Second, up the ante by adding corners to the pictures which you will stick onto the My Minds Eye scrapbooking pages. There are cute corners you can buy, simply choose one that fits your theme. It even serves as a cute “frame” to your pictures. You do not have to stick to the available corners if you do not want it. You can even make one yourself, or use stickers to keep the pictures in place (aside from putting tape onto the back part). Some teens even get creative enough to use neon tape for the corners to add more pizzazz to their teen-themed scrapbooks.

Third, how about you get busy with patterns and start block-stamping your My Minds Eye scrapbooking pages? This only works if you buy the plain colored ones because these will make your stamps stand out. Simply purchase several colors of stamp pads and customizable stamps (either the ones with shapes or the ones with holders so you can customize a message or a title using the available alphabet rubber stamps that come with it). You can make a carefully-arranged pattern or go buck wild with random stamps spread all over the pages in no particular order.

And finally, it also helps to dress up your scrapbook pages from My Minds Eye with tiny notes that can really tell more about the picture. This is an especially nice thing to do when some pictures have stories behind them that are truly worth retelling. It could explain a silly face that you made in a childhood photo or why your best friends planned a spur of the moment trip out of town (a teenage dare, perhaps?).

Whatever it is, do not rely on your memory or your story-telling skills to let the viewers know more about a picture when you can already say it using words that you write on the corners of each memento. These are just some neat things you can do with your scrapbooking pages.
