According to the PMO, the bomb was put inside a car parked in front of a sweets shop in Maligaon area of Guwahati, the state capital of India''s northeastern state of Assam. Six people are feared dead and more than 20 injured in Guwahati. Eyewitnesses say it was a powerful blast involving an improvised explosive device. The death toll is expected to go up as a number of the injured are said to be in serious condition.
