We all come across such situation in our lives when we regret, about not backing the data of our computer. These days computer crash has become very common and thanks to the computer viruses that keeps destroying the our computer we are left with either no memories of our beloved ones or are left with some of them if we have kept some backup. Thus back up of our computer has become a necessity. Toda we will discuss the same and it will help us to know what all we can do to make sure that we get our old files despite of computer crash. In order to back up your computer please make sure you follow these steps.
Step 1
Realizing the importance of computer managements Microsoft has included some utilities in the it’s operating system called Backup and restore. In order to access it please go to the control panel.
Step 2
Once you reach control panel please click on the system maintenance and then click on the once that says back up and restore.
Step 3
Depending if you have used this utility before it will come up with the backup and restore screen. In case you have not used it before it will take you through the setup and if you used it before you will have a screen that would says Create a system image or Create system repair disc on the left hand side. On the right you should have Setup backup.
Step 4
In order to backup the computer please click the once that says Setup backup. Then it will scan for the available drive chose the correct destination where you would like to store the back up. If you want to store the back up on the network please browse with the help of save on the network on the right hand side.
Step 5
In Once you have selected the correct destination for the back up please click on next at the bottom. In the next screen please pick the correct option if you would like to save all the files or just some of them.
Step 6
In case you pick the one that says Let me choose it would take you to the screen that would have option to select the files you want to back up and also do not remove the check from the one that says Include a system image of C: as it will be very important to read the back up of your computer.
This would take about few minutes to back up your computer and then you should be ready to use your computer. The restoring the computer will have the similar process. All you have to do is double click the back file and then you get option to restore my Files from this back.
